Am I limited to the number of questions on the survey form?
Yes. Our survey forms are pre-printed to guarantee the ability to scan accurately. We overlay each school's personalized questions onto the form. The number of questions depends on the survey form being utilized.


Can I ask all yes/no questions rather than using the rating scale?
Schools have asked all ''yes/no'' questions. We cannot change the response area of the survey forms, but simply modify the instructions to reflect how you'd like students to respond. (i.e. Respond with ''A''=Yes and ''F''=No or ''B''=No)
Can I change the questions on the surveys?
Yes. Our surveys are built as a template. Each school customizes the ''yes/no'' and ''multiple choice'' questions on the survey to meet their individual needs. The format of the survey form is preset and the questions must be tailored to fit the existing format.
Can I receive my compilation reports electronically?
Yes. An electronic copy of your report can be purchased. See the inside back cover of your compilation report for details.
Can the data be segregated to focus on a special group?
Yes. The inside back cover of your compilation report outlines the additional services available. These services range from ordering additional copies of your bound report to segregating the data to review responses from a specific group.
Can we provide our student's personal information to you without violating any privacy laws?
The answer to this question varies from state-to-state and school-to-school. Since we are being contracted to complete a service for your school and our information is confidential, generally a school can provide the information without any problems. Some schools have notified their students that the data would be released for reunion/survey purposes and given the students a deadline to ''opt out'' if they did not want their information included.
Do I have the option to change the questions each year?
Most schools try to keep the same questions for several years to have comparative data collected. However, if your needs change or you have questions that are not gathering the intended data, you may change them each time.
Do I need to write a special letter to each class enrolled?
No. Most schools write a general letter to their alumni each year, but add an additional paragraph to those classes receiving a survey. The additional paragraph stresses the importance of their response to the enclosed survey.
Do schools share this information with their local media?
Absolutely. Many schools have taken a copy of their compilation report to the local media to share the results with their public.
Do students ever request to be removed from the list?
Occasionally a student will contact us and ask to be removed from the list. We honor their request by removing their address and telephone information from the database and insert ''Request to be Removed'' in their address area of the database. When the class requests a list for reunion purposes, they will see the classmate's name and that he/she requested to be removed.
Do you have a question bank I can reference when selecting my questions?
Yes. Upon request, we will provide a bank of questions that have been utilized by other schools/districts.
Do you have information explaining the 1-800-REUNION program that I can give to my students?
Yes, membership material is sent to the school to be distributed to the seniors. It contains a ''Congratulations Graduate'' card that explains the 1-800-reunion Program with a membership card and magnet enclosed. A sealed packet is provided for each senior.
Do you keep a backup of our reports?
Yes. Electronic copies of your reports are saved and backed up daily.
Do you share my survey results with other schools/districts?
No. Your results are not shared with any other schools/districts unless you provide it to them.
Do you share or sell your database?
No. Our lists are completely confidential. The school/district has the ability to receive updated lists from our database, and if the school chooses to authorize up to 3 class members, those 3 students would be able to access their class list for reunion purposes.
How do you find out if a student is deceased?
These calls are the toughest to receive. Many times our contact person at the school will inform us of their loss. We appreciate this as we can identify the classmate as deceased and remove all their personal information to prevent unnecessary heartache to the family. When the annual newsletters are mailed to the graduates, if we have not been notified, the family will typically contact us and ask us to remove their student's name from the list.
How is the data returned to us after the survey is completed?
Your personalized compilation report shows responses to each question in a bar graph and statistical table format.
How long does it take to complete the postgraduate survey and receive my compilation reports?
The process of mailing the survey, allowing time for students to respond, completing follow-up calls, and generating your reports ranges from 4-6 months.
How many copies of each compilation report will I receive?
Two copies of each report are provided.
How much does your service cost?
We have a variety of programs ranging from the Senior Exit Survey costing $3.50 per senior to our comprehensive 5-year program for $15.00 per senior. Contact us for current promotions for our comprehensive programs.
Is it possible to get additional copies of our compilation report if I want to provide one to each board member or department head?
Yes. Additional copies of your bound compilation report can be purchased. See the inside back cover of your compilation report for details.
Is it possible to receive the raw data to manipulate and compare scenarios on our own?
Yes. A data file can be purchased. See the inside back cover of your compilation report for details.
Once a survey is mailed, are there any additional follow-up attempts to gather the data?
Yes. We make 3 telephone attempts to contact each student that did not respond to the survey by mail.
We have several high schools in our district. Is it possible to generate a district-wide report?
If all the schools in the district utilize the same questions for the survey, district-wide compilation reports will be provided.
What additional costs are involved with creating district-wide reports?
There is no charge to create district-wide compilation reports.
What happens if a student moves, but does not update their information?
By mailing to the student each year, they are reminded annually to update their information. We also process our list against the national postal move-update database prior to mailing. If they have moved and submitted a forward with the postal service, but didn't notify us, we still receive their updated address.
What happens to my surveys once the reports are sent to me?
All of your original surveys will be returned to you along with your compilation reports.
What is the turnaround time to receive our senior exit surveys?
Senior exit surveys can be shipped to your school typically within 2 weeks of receiving your questions. Compilation usually takes 2-3 weeks from the time we receive the completed surveys to process and generate your reports.
What kind of survey return rates should I expect?
The senior exit survey is administered in a controlled environment prior to graduation. Most schools receive 85-95% response to the senior exit survey. Response to the postgraduate surveys varies from school to school. Many factors play into the response for these surveys (Preparations prior to graduation, mobility within your district, individual student attitudes, etc). These surveys are mailed and follow-up phone calls are attempted to those not responding. We averaged 61% response to our postgraduate surveys over the past 24 months.
Who do I contact if I have questions regarding services to classes we have enrolled?
When you enroll your class, you will be introduced to your regional support specialist. They will handle all aspects of your program. You can fax, email, or call them with questions that arise.
Will I be reminded each year about items that need to be completed to keep my program current?
Yes. Each fall your regional support specialist will send you a reminder outlining items needed to bring your program current. Samples will be included with these reminders.
